It all began in 2006 when Jan Boersma combined his hobbies: motorcycling and programming. He created Tyre. It has continually been developed and without ever advertising Tyre has become the most popular freeware program for creating GPS routes. More than 500,000 people worldwide use it. Now is the time for further professionalization and expansion of the possibilities. Boersma and Michel van Hagen are realizing this with TyreToTravel. So we can all enjoy more perfect routes.

The Tyre website is completely renewed. Because TyreToTravel is now more than just Tyre. It’s the online platform where you can easily and quickly find, create and share routes. The free Tyre Basic provides a good basis. And if you want to upgrade to Tyre-Plus or Tyre-Professional you get many extras for a small amount of money. Like the possibility to optimize routes, finding gas stations along the way and creating ready-made tourist routes.
